American Airlines Inc. plans to increase its air traffic capacity into O'Hare International Airport with the expansion of the Terminal 3 L concourse. This project which started in August 2016 consists of the construction of a new terminal building and site improvements that will allow for the addition of five aircraft parking positions.
Rossi Contractors, Inc. has been selected as the General Contractor for the Phase 1 portion of the scope. Work in this packages consists of the following:
- Demolition and modification of site features-blast fence, PCC pavement and select utilities
- Installation of new underground hydrant pit fueling system for future utilization by parked aircraft
- Base preparation and placement of new apron pavement adjacent to proposed building expansion
